How many pages can be printed with one cartridge? If you want to know how many pages your printer cartridge will print — You should be able to find an estimated number of prints listed against the product of the place where you bought the cartridge, but bear in mind: Each printer is different and so each ink cartridge is different too.

I can buy a toner cartridge and just print for years without thinking about it. I keep them until they develop a problem or until supplies get too expensive for them. Then I recycle the printer and get a used one to replace it.
My longest-lived printer, a Lexmark , lasted 13 years. So, while HP, Lexmark, and the like may tell you that laser printer toner expires, I ignore it. If you have a cartridge that old, simply recycle it and get a new one. Some printer manufacturers count how many times a cartridge will print a set of test pages designed by the International Organization for Standardization IOS. Others count how many pages the cartridge will generate when five percent of it is covered with toner and 95 percent of it is blank.
If most of your printing is half-pages of double-spaced text, you'll probably get more than the cartridge's rated life. On the other hand, if you print a lot of pages with black backgrounds and sparse white text, you'll be replacing your toner well before its "rated" life. When your cartridge starts to display a low toner message or your printouts start to fade, you might be able to squeeze a little bit more printing out of it. Open your printer's toner cartridge bay and remove the cartridge.
