Since time is money, that makes them a gigantic money sink as well, and you really can't afford that kind of expense. I recommend monkfish or cavefish to 90, rocktails after that, and if you must, sharks once you're already At 4 hours a day average, that's just under 3 months. Of course, it gets much better once you add in the rocktails from , which are faster xp than monkfish and more profitable as well.
Look, I don't know what your priorities are exactly, but I'd think that if you can afford to spend an extra 6 months on your fishing cape, I think you can afford an extra two days to do a quest. Because no offense, but if you think Swan Song is too hard for you, I seriously doubt you're cut out for 99 fishing. Besides, you don't even need to do Swan Song these days, because cavefish are pretty much the same xp and gp as monkfish anyway.

With 60s in melee you can definitely pull it off.
