Will be visiting Magic Kingdom at the end of the month, staying at a non Disney resort, what is the best transportation route to use to avoid long waits? Do you know which area you'll be coming from?
That'll be the biggest factor in determining the fastest driving route to get you to Magic Kingdom from off-site :. Some states are lifting the rule to wear masks. Is Florida one? If Florida becomes one of the states to lift this rule will Disney follow? For the months of March and April what are the plans so I can plan accordingly.
The state of Florida has left it up to individual municipalities, and individual businesses can still determine whether or not to enforce mask regulations. At this time, all Florida theme parks still require face coverings. Disney World has stated that the mask regulation will be in place until at least the end of If this changes, we'll be sure to update!
If a park hits capacity, is that the case for the rest of the day, or is it monitored throughout to allow park hoppers in if crowds decrease later in the day? Your article said, "The ability to join a Boarding Group takes place at 10 a.
That's correct; the first window for trying to grab a Boarding Group for Rise of the Resistance is now 7 a. The second window is currently 2 p.
For all of those of you who wish to utilize your freedoms and not wear a mask, then by all means don't go to Disney Parks. Trust me it will not impact Disney financially, there are still plenty of us who are willing to wear a mask and you're staying away will make it easier for the rest of us to get a reservation.
For those of you who desire to make rude comments about people not wearing masks, keep it to yourself. They have a right to choose, just like you. And yes, Disney will lose out financially by requiring masks, it's already happening. So stay logical, not judgemental, in this discussion!! For we all love Disney or we wouldn't be on this site:. What is your problem with a mask?
Every day she sees the pain, misery and death of many people and you don't want to wear masks? But if you are sick and you have this virus, then you are the one who complains the most. If you do not want to wear masks, then stay at home, then you can not infect other people through your unguilty and maybe even hand them over to death.
I agree, If you are scared, wear a mask. If you think its about wearing it for others, they can wear one themselves.
I have no problem with others wearing it. And it really doesn't protect others. People are foolish to believe a mask helps. Look at the countries that wear them all the time.
They still got the virus. Stop being bullied due to people being scared! I mean, we could say the same thing about cars and drunk driving. Your seatbelt works, so why can't i exercise my choice and drink and drive. If your seatbelt works, why oppress my choice.
Trust me the mask works, i'm in positive rooms all day long 60 hours a week, they work. It's just people decided to have parties at home when everyone told them not to. Those countries? Like China or Japan? Who shut the virus down in near record time compared to us? Are my hotel reservations cancelled, or going to be? If they're not, will I be able to get tickets then or is there I chance I could be going to the resort and end up not being able to get into the parks?
Disney has not yet released details on the new reservation system. We will update our posts as soon as these details are released! Well we have been coming for over 10 yrs straight The anti-mask people are truly boring. Don't follow any laws and rules, this is America.
Do what you want and keep it moving. No one is forcing you go to Disney. Let the people who want to go enjoy this lovely blog and learn about the new rules. Tickets that we bought thru undercover tourist would b valid for the reservation system? We currently have June th tickets thru undercover- they have already been extended till December on the app. But will we get in on the New reservation system with them?
Undercover Tourist is an authorized seller and our ticket media is the same as buying direct from the theme parks. We do not have any information yet on the new reservation system, but we will pass along those details when we do. As with most points of view, there is your side, my side and somewhere in-between lies harmony. I will visit, I will were a face mask out of respect for others who also chose to visit. For those who don't wish to wear a face mask they can turn up when they don't have too :.
I will not wear a face mask to disney. I love Disney, its my favorite place. We have our annual Christmas that i wont be wearing a mask. I hate them. I have this thing about breathing the air i just breathed out. A bit of anxiety about my face covered. And i love my American freedoms. Id be forced to cancel and use my money elsewhere or just go and keep it pulled down from my nose.
Hell i can get a note from my doc. But im not worried about getting sick. I refuse to lose my freedoms. Sheila, you will not find a doctor to write you the note you want. This is a pandemic and that is their license on the line.
Wear the mask. Keep your doctor out of it. Actually, I have a doctor who writes those notes. There are true Cognitive Disabilities out there that prevent mask wearing. Especially because people are really uninformed about disabilities and can be insanely mean about it! To be clear I am not meaning you.
Just yesterday I saw a post that said "anyone who can't wear a mask should be put on a plane and the plane should go down over the ocean. I feel really bad for my 6 year old; I hope by the time she is an adult that people are more understanding.
But I'm not holding out a lot of hope Sheila Disney is private property and sets their own rules that impose on supposed American Freedoms with simplest being that shirt and shoes are required and furthermore clothing must not be offensive. I don't like the mask policy, but I will comply with because I want to go.
I will comply with Disney rules As long as the face mask requirement is there, I will not be showing up. And it has nothing to do with freedom for m, I am just not going to enjoy a vacation in 95 degree heat wearing a face mask.
And you are right, Disney is a private company but they also need to make money. If enough people don't show up because of face mask requirements, they will change their tune very quickly.
Hey, Sheila. I know I won't change your mind, but the mask isn't just to keep you safe; it's also to keep those around you safe, as you could be carrying the virus asymptomatically and transmit it. The recent studies of how the virus can affect children are really alarming--otherwise healthy kids are going into cardiac arrest as a result of coronavirus!
I know the masks are annoying and uncomfortable, but please reconsider your stance for the safety of those around you. Maybe instead of thinking of the mask as a loss of freedom, consider it as a courtesy to others the same way places require shirts, shoes, and other items of clothing?
Hope that helps and you stay healthy regardless. Ann, the masks keep no one safe and they do more harm than good.
Believing a virus cannot get through a mask does not make it so. I was so looking forward to going to Disney World. I will not go if masks are required. Even Flip flop Dr. Fauci says they do more harm than good for healthy people. It is not healthy to rebreathe carbon dioxide.
What I want to know is when this requirement will go away so I can cancel my hotel reservation if necessary. Faucci say masks do more harm than good. For every study or expert that claims the mask stops the spread, there are just as many experts and other studies that says it does nothing or even makes things worse. Wearing a mask for 15 minutes in the supermarket is one thing, wearing it for 10 hours outdoors in 95 degree heat is not practical.
I am with Jonathon on this, not about freedom, I have claustrophobia and masks are a no go for me for that long, lets be reasonable, if you are worried wear your mask, why do I need one if your protected?

The parks closed on March 15 and reopened on July Disney also addd an additional month to all annual passes, so in total, annual passholders received roughly a day extension or around 5 months.
As a direct result of keeping theme park capacity down, Disney has come up with a brand new online park reservation system for guests during the reopening phase.
Annual Passholders Need Park Reservations — Even Annual Passholders will be required to make park reservations for the days they want to visit. You also need to check availability when park hopping to the second theme park of the day. Guests with a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation generally have priority in making park reservations over guests staying off-site or visiting for the day.
Up to this point, Disney has made sure there is enough park pass availabilty for guests staying at the resorts to make sure they get into the parks. This makes sense since they are in Florida spending thousands of dollars to go to the parks, whereas many Annual Passholders are Florida locals and have more opportunities to go.
Who is Guaranteed a Reservation? No one. Guests are encouraged to make park pass reservations as soon as they know their travel dates as availability is limited. As time goes on, Disney will better understand what the demand for the parks will be, therefore allocating the ideal number of passes per group. Disney will be releasing more info on this system in the days to come.

Billions, with a capital B. This is like what happens when a hurricane hits Disney World, only to every park, hotel and entertainment venue Disney owns all at the same time and for an extended period of time. It could take years to fully recover and get attendance and revenue back to pre-closure levels.
